Questions about D-Omega Drops
Plain answers on what D-Omega Drops contains, how to give it, who should not take it and where to find it. Distributors will find more on the Partner with us page.
General
What it is, what it contains and where to find it.
Every 20 drops contain 10 µg (400 IU) of vitamin D3 and 167 mg of fish oil, with 25 mg of EPA and 25 mg of DHA. The other ingredients are sunflower oil and natural citrus flavour.
They are two nutrients that many children don't get enough of from food. Vitamin D is needed for normal growth and development of bone in children and contributes to the normal function of the immune system. DHA and EPA are omega-3 fats found mainly in oily fish, which many children rarely eat. Having both in one bottle means one daily routine instead of two.
You'll find it in pharmacies in Jordan and Saudi Arabia. Ask your pharmacist for D-Omega Drops by name. You can also buy it from online pharmacies in both countries, or order it online from the Goodness Care shop. The Where to Buy page has the details for each country.
Giving it
How to give it, the taste, and how long a bottle lasts.
For children over 1 year: 20 drops once a day, directly or in milk or juice. Count the drops with the dropper, give them straight into your child's mouth or onto a spoon, or mix them into a drink. Ask your child's doctor before you start.
Yes. The pack says the drops can be given directly or in milk or juice. Use a small amount of drink that your child will finish, so they get the whole dose.
It has a natural citrus flavour. If your child doesn't like taking it straight from the dropper, mix it into milk or juice.
Just give the usual 20 drops the next day. Do not give a double dose to make up for a missed one.
A 30 ml bottle holds 50 servings of 20 drops, so it lasts about 50 days at one dose a day.
Close the bottle after each use and store it at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C, out of reach of children. Use it within 6 months of opening, and before the expiry date printed on the carton.
Safety
Age, allergies, other supplements and medicines.
From 1 year. It is not for children under 1 year. The pack asks you to use it after consulting a specialist doctor, so talk to your child's doctor before you start.
The omega-3 in D-Omega Drops comes from fish oil, and the pack says it contains fish oil. Do not give it to a child with a fish allergy unless their doctor says it is suitable.
Ask your child's doctor first. D-Omega Drops gives 10 µg (400 IU) of vitamin D3 a day, and the doctor can tell you whether your child needs any more from another product.
If your child takes any medicine, or has a health condition, ask their doctor or pharmacist before you start.
Yes, it is possible to take too much vitamin D, which is why the dose matters. Give 20 drops once a day and do not exceed it. Count every source of vitamin D your child takes, and ask the doctor if you are giving more than one product.
